The prices are indeed much lower than in other places."
The increase in customer traffic has broughtsmiles to the shop owners. Ms. Jiang, an eyeglasses retailer, noted that holidays usually see a peak in customer numbers, but this year's National Dayholiday has attracted many visitors from Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai.Despite being too busy to enjoy the holiday themselves, the shopkeepers are thrilled with the surge in business.
In preparation for the holiday rush, many merchants had stocked up adequately, yet demand still exceeded supply.
